Help Families in Jamaica Recover from Hurricane Melissa

Hurricane Melissa has left countless families across Jamaica without power, food, or safe shelter.

We’re Shaquille and Susana, a husband-and-wife team based in Kingston, Jamaica, and founders of AUTM8 LLC, a U.S. registered company. Being on the ground, we’ve seen firsthand how urgently families need clean water, food, and supplies — so we decided to act.

We felt in our hearts it was the right thing to do — knowing Kingston was initially forecasted to take the hit, we could easily have been in their shoes, and we’d hope someone would do the same for our family.

With the help of trusted local partners — including EPIC Alliance Traders LLC — we’re gathering supplies and donations to reach communities still waiting for relief. Every contribution — big or small — helps us get food, water, and essentials into the hands of those who need them most. 💛

DONATE

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • All donations go toward purchasing essentials — food, vitamins, clean water, baby supplies, and hygiene kits. We’ll be preparing bags with a mix of these items to make distribution easier once supplies reach affected areas.
Any transportation or supply run costs are covered by us — your entire donation goes directly toward helping families. If you’d like your donation used for something specific, just let us know — we’re happy to honor requests when possible.

  • We’ll send photos and updates to the email you shared when donating, or through the person who passed your donation to us, so you can see how your support reached families in need.

  • Yes! If you’re in Jamaica or can ship, contact us at susana@autm8.net or via WhatsApp at 1876-517-9514 to arrange drop-off or delivery details.

The Government of Jamaica has issued a tax waiver until November 28 for goods being imported for relief efforts, which helps reduce costs on essential supplies.
If you’d like, we can share a list of eligible items via email or WhatsApp.

However, monetary donations allows us to buy and deliver items more quickly to families on the ground — but both options are deeply appreciated and make a real difference. 💛

  • We’ll continue organizing relief trips and deliveries as long as families are still rebuilding after Hurricane Melissa.

  • You can contact us anytime at susana@autm8.net or on WhatsApp at 1876-517-9514 or 1876-517-9462 for questions, updates, or to share how you’d like your donation to be used. We’re happy to connect personally.

  • We’re teaming up with EPIC Alliance Traders — an established local company with trusted connections — and other community members who are joining forces for the same cause. By working together, we can gather more supplies and get them to families faster and more safely.

We’re also working closely with the Executive Director of the Social Development Commission (SDC), who is helping us identify and reach communities that have been harder to access. With their guidance, we’ll determine the safest and most effective ways to deliver items — whether that means sending through distribution channels instead of driving directly, depending on road and security conditions.

No matter the method, we’ll remain transparent and share photos and updates each time supplies are sent out so you can see the impact your support makes.
